Andy Irvine’s 30 Beginner Bass Grooves You Must Know

Learn how to play bass guitar with these basic grooves

Developing an essential vocabulary of bass grooves, which you can call on across in a variety of styles, is the key to gain the technical abilities and confidence to get up on the bandstand and start jamming with other musicians or play bass in a band setting. Andy Irvine’s 30 Beginner Bass Grooves You Must Know is your fast-track to that bandstand.

”You’ve chosen the coolest instrument to learn, and I’m excited to be the guy to help you on your way to a long and fun journey with the bass guitar. In this course, I’ll demonstrate and teach you a variety of great bass lines and grooves, in a variety of styles. Together we’ll begin the process of building your playing technique and I guarantee that you’ll soon have the ability to start jamming with others. We’ll be working on the core stuff that forms the foundation for a diverse skill set.”

Andy will teach you bass lines for 60’s & 70’s Funk Grooves, Gospel, Reggae & Dub Styles, Motown, Ballads, Soul, Walking Bass lines, Latin Bossa Nova, Slap Techniques, Rock, and dozens of other essential grooves to get you in the pocket and on the bandstand.

Andy demonstrates all of the bass lines over rhythm tracks and then breaks them down note-by-note showing you the techniques that you’ll need to play them correctly.

All of the bass lines are tabbed and notated for your practice, reference and study purposes. You’ll also get Guitar Pro files so that you can play, loop and/or slow down the tab and notation as you work through the lessons. Plus, Andy generously includes all of the rhythm tracks for you to work with on your own.

Grab your bass and let’s get in the Pocket with Andy Irvine!
